Regional Arts Fund

In May 2015, following the closure of Artslink, the Queensland Premier announced Arts Queensland would deliver the Regional Arts Fund (RAF) including Artlands Dubbo Conference bursaries for the remainder of 2016 while Queensland Music Festival would deliver the Youth Touring Program for 2016 and 2017.

RAF is an Australian Government program designed to benefit regional and remote arts practitioners, arts workers, audiences and communities.


Artlands Dubbo Conference Bursary

Arts Queensland is administering 10 bursaries of $850 to support attendance by volunteers or non-professional artists and arts workers from regional and remote communities in Queensland to attend the Regional Arts Australia Artlands Dubbo Conference from 27 to 30 October 2016.

Regional Arts Fund


RAF supports and promotes participation in, and access to, Australia’s arts and culture in regional and remote Australia by:

  • encouraging and supporting sustainable economic, social and cultural development in regional communities
  • developing partnerships and networks which leverage financial and/or in-kind support for specific projects and encourage ongoing collaboration
  • developing audiences and broadening community engagement with the arts
  • increasing employment and professional development opportunities for, and raising the profile of, regional and remote artists.
