European masterpieces from the MET comes to Queensland

European Masterpieces, exclusive to Queensland, is one of most significant exhibitions of international art that has happened in Queensland.

Presented in partnership with Art Exhibitions Australia, ‘European Masterpieces’ has been curated by The Met in consultation with the Gallery and will occupy GOMA’s entire ground floor.

European Masterpieces will give visitors a chance to experience works that rarely leave permanent display in the United States. With 65 paintings that cover a period of remarkable religious, societal and cultural changes from the 1400s to the 1900s, by a range of artists
