Opera meets beef in the latest tour for Opera Queensland

At Beef Week preview on 23 March, Opera Queensland showed a prime cut of their new touring production Are You Lonesome Tonight, which will premiere at Rockhampton’s Beef Week 2021 (2 – 8 May 2021).

Memories of historic Brisbane art gallery recognised in UNESCO world register

The State Library of Queensland (SLQ) has become home to yet another UNESCO Australian Memory of the World item as the Johnstone Gallery Archive (1948–72) and Arthur Davenport Photographs (1955–92) are now recognised in the UNESCO register.

The Audience Outlook Monitor – a snapshot of arts attendance in a time of change

The Audience Outlook Monitor is being delivered in Australia in an unprecedented collaboration by research agencies Patternmakers (Sydney) and WolfBrown (USA) in collaboration with the Australia Council for the Arts, Creative Victoria, Create NSW, Arts Queensland, Arts SA, and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (Western Australia).

Planning approvals now secured

The New Performing Arts Venue project has secured all the necessary planning approvals to proceed to construction following the Ministerial Infrastructure Designation from the Queensland Minister for State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning last week.
